Winter White Wedding Inspiration!

Photos by Eli Turner

'Tis the season for wintery white weddings, fur wraps and glamorous frosty decor. We love the look of a glittery winter wedding! Here are some images from our favorite Engaging Affairs winter weddings!

When decorating for Winter weddings, twinkle lights are the perfect way to add some magic. And what better dramatic impact that a soaring evergreen all decked out?

Blue lighting, silver linens and tons of glass create a frosty and elegant setting.

Winter weddings lend themselves to bling so break out the crystals! In flower arrangements, on cakes, and in bouquets!

And we love a twinkle dance floor to add to the frosty glitz.

Or a fun star light pattern to create a magical look for a first dance!

And what is a winter wedding without a fabulous fur wrap? We personally prefer gorgeous fake furs (and they look and feel so real now) and love the contrast of a sable fur against the white of a wedding gown.

Wishing you the merriest of holidays!

Calling All Prospective Weddingistas!

photo from Brumley & Wells via RuffledBlog

Engaging Affairs is looking for a new full-time wedding planner to join our team!  If you have experience planning weddings (other than your own or a friend's, please), are comfortable selling yourself to potential clients, and are familiar with the D.C. event market, we'd love to talk with you.

This is an amazing opportunity to join an established and successful wedding planning company (and it happens with us very rarely). We are looking for someone who loves weddings, can handle complex events, is calm under pressure, is supremely organized, and is an all-around delight! We encourage applicants with hotel, catering, rental, or venue experience.

To be considered, send a cover letter telling us why you are perfect and we can't live without you (along with your stellar resume) to Laura Weatherly at weddings@engagingaffairs.com by December 6th. We look forward to meeting you!

Country Club Elegance {Devon + Harry}

I am so grateful for the opportunity to work on this gorgeous wedding! Devon & Harry were so much fun!

The Bride and her bridesmaids spent the morning getting primped by Remona of Hair by Remona and Nikki Frasier of Beauty and the Bride.  Once they were ready, the Bride slipped into her amazing dress.  Capturing her day was photographer Robert Isaacson and videographer Bill Bowen of Suburban Video.

The ceremony took place at Blessed Sacrament located on Chevy Chase Circle.  The beautiful flowers and décor was designed by Amaryllis.

After a beautiful mass, all guests were transported to Congressional Country Club by International Limo for a night of great food and great memories.  Cocktails took place under bistro lighting on Congressional’s Terrace overlooking their amazing golf course.

Once it was time for dinner, the guests were ushered into the beautifully decorated and glowing ballroom for the evenings remaining festivities.

The band Prime Time kept everyone dancing all night.

And guests departed with s'mores-to-go!

Thank you to everyone who made Devon and Harry’s day absolutely amazing!!
