Lela Rose at Hitched {Trunk Show}

Join the lovely ladies at Hitched for the Lela Rose Bridal Gown Trunk Show on Friday, January 21st & Saturday, January 22nd.

Lela Rose is well-known for her flirty, feminine, yet sophisticated ready-to-wear collections, and she brings that same aesthetic to her bridal collection. They're some of the most uniquely gorgeous bridal gowns out there, so if you're looking for a dress that will truly set you apart, this is the trunk show for you.  Plus, the collection's ultra-feminine silhouettes are notoriously light and airy, which means you don't have to sacrifice beauty for comfort.

At the trunk show, you'll have the opportunity to try on the latest Lela Rose gowns (hot off the runway!), as well as the chance to chat with a representative about options for customizing the gowns. As a special treat, Hitched will be offering a 10% discount on all gowns purchased during the trunk show!

Having this collection at Hitched is a rare treat and the show is sure to book up quickly so make your appointment today by calling 202.333.6162 or sending an email appointments@hitchedsalon.com.

Another Night at the (Women's) Museum {Emily + Kevin}

A week after an incredible wedding at the National Museum of Women in the Arts, I was back at the venue for another gorgeous wedding.

Emily and Kevin live in New York City so most of the planning took place via email.  The key to the planning was that they both knew what they wanted and had faith in not only myself but the other wonderful vendors they had selected for their wedding day.

On the morning of the wedding day, the ladies enjoyed a relaxing breakfast in Emily’s suite at the Grand Hyatt while getting their makeup done by celebrity make-up artist Carola Myers and their hair done by the talented Remona of Hair by Remona

Once the bridesmaids slipped into their cocktail length black dresses, we gave them their bright pink bouquets to take a few fun pics.  The pink against the black looked incredible.

All of the flowers for the wedding and reception were created by floral designer Philippa Tarrant

The couple chose to have their ceremony at the bride’s family church, All Saints Church, in Bethesda, Maryland.  The church, built in 1901, served as a beautiful setting for their wedding ceremony.

The programs, menus, and escort cards were decorated with cute little snowflakes.

Guests were then shuttled in buses provided by International Limo from the church to the National Museum of Women in the Arts for a night of dinner and dancing.  Thanks to the band Nation, they kept the guests kept on the dance floor all night long.

Guests dined on a delicious menu provided by Alison Fisher and her team at Main Event Caterers

The all white wedding cake with a black ribbon on each tier was provided by Just Cakes in Bethesda, Maryland.

The night ended with a delicious dessert buffet that included mini churros and famous Georgetown Cupcakes for guests to enjoy before they headed back to the Grand Hyatt for the after party.

All of these amazing photos were taken by the talented Andrea Jacobson of The Observatory

Thank you to John Farr Lighting for setting the atmosphere with uplighting around the room and pinspots on each of the tables.

A special thank you to my assistants for the evening, Sarah and Emily, who helped to make everything perfect.

Congratulations to Emily and Kevin!
